Ingredients

Cake:

1 box butter pecan cake mix

1 cup water

1/3 cup vegetable oil

4 large eggs

1 container (16 oz) coconut pecan frosting (mixed into the batter)

Praline Topping:

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup milk

1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

1. Prepare the Cake:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, oil, eggs, and coconut pecan frosting.

Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool slightly in the pan.

2. Make the Praline Topping:

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add brown sugar and milk, stirring continuously. Bring to a gentle boil and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened.

Remove from heat, then stir in the chopped pecans.

3. Assemble:

Poke small holes in the cake with a skewer or fork.

Pour the warm praline topping over the cake, letting it seep into the holes and coat the top.

4. Serve:

Let the cake cool to room temperature, allowing the praline topping to set.

Slice and serve!
