Snowball Cookies Recipe

 

Ingredients:

 

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

 

5 Tbsp granulated sugar

 

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

 

1/4 teaspoon fine-grain sea salt

 

2 cups all-purpose flour

 

1 cup finely chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts)

 

Powdered sugar, for rolling

 

 

Instructions:

 

1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

 

 

2. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.

 

 

3. Add Vanilla and Salt: Mix in the vanilla extract and salt.

 

 

4. Incorporate Flour and Nuts: Gradually add in the flour and mix until just combined. Fold in the chopped nuts until evenly distributed.

 

 

5. Shape the Cookies: Using a tablespoon, scoop the dough and roll it into small 1-inch balls. Place them about 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.

 

 

6. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly golden. The tops should remain pale.

 

 

7. Coat in Powdered Sugar: Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes, then roll them in powdered sugar while still warm. Once completely cool, roll them in powdered sugar again for a thick coating.

 

 

8. Serve & Enjoy: These cookies are best enjoyed with coffee, tea, or milk!
