Bacon-Wrapped Smokies with Brown Sugar and Butter

 

Ingredients

 

1 pound bacon, cut into thirds

 

1 pound Lil’ Smokies (small sausages)

 

1 stick butter

 

2 cups brown sugar

 

 

Instructions

 

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

 

 

2. Wrap each Lil’ Smokie with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

 

 

3. Place the wrapped smokies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil (for easy cleanup).

 

 

4. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then add 1 cup of the brown sugar. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

 

 

5. Pour the butter and sugar mixture evenly over the bacon-wrapped smokies.

 

 

6. Sprinkle the remaining cup of brown sugar on top of the smokies for extra sweetness.

 

 

7. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and caramel

ized.

 

 

8. Serve warm and enjoy!
